Reach for Impossible Heights

Wed Nov 11, 2009, 11:22 PM
  • Mood: Content
  • Listening to: Vienna - The Fray

Recently I have been having a hard time getting motivation to do my school work. Or well... work in general really. Yet I have been in a very organizational mood. I organized all of my dA submissions into their respective folders. I also managed to post some Prints. There are only three available at the moment. Oh I organized all of my art files on my computer too. Organizing all my art took about 2.5 hours.

I have managed to buy an external hard drive recently and it is really doing wonders for me. I LOVE having ALL of my information with me when I got to school. I dont have to worry about trying to fit everything onto thoes horrid 1gb flash drives.

I would love to say that I have a ton of new drawings for you to look at but... I dont like lying. I've spent most of my free time talking to my best guy friend on the phone. BLAME HIM.

I only have five quarters until I graduate, four classes per quarter... Its coming soon. I'm somewhat frightened.

A Tea Drinkers Appology II

  • Mood: Stuck
  • Listening to: The fans whirling in my bedroom.
  • Reading: Love @ First Site... I havent touched it in months
  • Watching: My cats play.
  • Playing: With my cats.
  • Eating: My cats... Urm wait no.
College, it’s always depicted as something full of fun. Drugs, Sex, and Rock'n'Roll... Right?

Wrong, well unless you don't care about getting bad grades and wasting your money. I find myself without time, and when I have it I tend to waste it. I've learned a lot about myself, as it should be considering I am nearing the ripe age of Twenty. It seems as though the drama I thought I had left behind with most of my high school "friends" is back to haunt me. As you may or may not recall in my last journal entry I mentioned a love triangle of sorts. It is less of a problem now, more so an annoying little memory prodding at my sides. My patients are being tested. I still do enjoy the company of the one I have liked for quite a long time now, not to say otherwise. I have also come to terms with a problem we, or should I say I, have had. Yet things are still at a ghastly little stand-still. Conversing on the phone every night with the one you can't get enough of is torturous if you can't call that person your own. But this is all besides my point.

I have a lot of artwork to scan and post, I will wait until after this quarter is over to do so. I have been enjoying an Animal Anatomy class this quarter taught by a very wonderful and spunky teacher. Unfortunately I haven’t been doing much of my old routine, drawing every night hasn’t happened since college started for me... but enough of my excuses.

I want to improve, I will be experimenting and I intend to post these experiments on this very website. I hope you will stay tuned... not to make this sound like some sort of advertisment.

A Tea Drinkers Appology

I've been rather dead here as of late. But what with my new Digital Painting class you will soon see much more artwork. My desktop pc caught a virus so I'm lacking Maya and a huge chunk of my multitasking ability. I'm also quite broke so I havent been doing anything except staying home lately. Its a downer, not having money. Makes me somewhat cranky.

I went through my first week of winter quarter fairly confused. One of my teachers never showed and another one quit unexpectedly. It isnt the only thing that turned out bumpy though. Turns out I'm in the middle of a "love triangle" so to speak. It isnt really a triangle... more of a weird shaped thing.

Picked up a book a few weeks ago before I knew I was so broke. Love @ First Site. Its a good read for gals. It's about internet dating sites and how it works out for this woman.

As usual I'm procrastinating on my homework, at least this one isnt due until Thursday afternoon. Back to digitally painting clouds, I'll post it once I'm done.

Long overdue update

I must say I'm having the best time of my life right now. I'm so happy. Though I wish my best friend was back from New York. A MONTH is sooooo long. I have so many stories to tell. These past three weeks have made my life wonderful.

Just listen to Realize by Colbie Caillat ( [link] ) or There for You by FlyLeaf ( [link] ) and you will understand completely.

It so happens that ever since my birthday my life got better tenfold. I don't think I have ever felt this good.

Well I must say I am a cluts. I sliced my finger open the other day at work after only being there for an hour. Meh. I got three stitches. Theres a first time for everything I suppose. Yay for L&I covering it though haha.

Also. This new layout will take some time to get used to. I don't know if I like it but I don't think I hate it either. I'm not a fan of rounded corners though but at least it isnt horrible. I like being able to preview the deviantions without paying for a subscription.

I go back to school on the 14th... I really didnt get as much done as I wanted to. Overall I havent been very creative. And I havent posted anything from last quarter either... Heck I cant really scan anything because Ive been using my laptop because my pc heats up the room too much. Oh well at least I posted SOMETHING this month off that I had.
